EXPO Recap

Posted by Dan on March 20, 2011

The EXPO went fantastic, several hundred concerned citizens signed petition to oppose wildoly “con-pain” and are going to be at Mtg. Mon. nite, 21st at AHS . Doors open at 6.

T-shirts with the universal “O/” NO to wildoly on front and “keep lands working and open to all the public” on the back are now available, in all sizes, for $15- proceeds go to help pay for website expenses. There is a “More” creative version available for the Quinault area folks – Thank you to Kellie and Corey for these creative ideas to get the word out.

Todays Daily World, top story, is on the wildoly and our Working Wild Olympics Coalitions positions to STOP this completely wrong agenda. It was a MAJOR up-hill battle to get the article to this point-Steven bought their con; hook, line and sinker. Had to argue with him, vehemently and ask him to shut-up so I could have a chance to make my points.

He later called back to say I was right on one point.  Lk. Quinault was left out of story and can seize the opportunity to be heard Mon. nite. I want someone(s) to be on stage to give their side as part of our opening present. and then partake in Q & A the last hr.

We are now referring to wildoly as “Spotted Owl 2”, another created way to lock-up the land for a problem that doesn’t exist. Nine years ago I told then Dir. of WDFW, “that Olympia had ALL the answers, they were just looking for the right question”. He liked it and agreed. These enviro/ “Non” Gov. Orgs. (NGOs) are operating the same way. Trying to “create” problems and then offering a “fix”.

Mtg. tonite over dinner with Chuck Cushman is 6:00 at Bee Hive in Monte.  Room for 25+

I/we have been asked by several more groups to talk to them about this “con-pain” of wildoly.  I will do 3 of them this week before I leave on Sat. and others who are avail. and well versed on this issue will do the rest. When I leave on Sat., Dan Wood, with Wa. State Farm Bureau has graciously offered to be the contact person for Working Wild Olympics Coalition while I am gone(my wife is Sooooooooo thrilled and now “less” worried about me relaxing for my 2 week treatment).

There are more weapons in our arsenal of attack plans ready to be used at strategic points. Thanks to everyone's combined efforts we have them on the run and will strike when necessary to finish them off.  Thanks to everyone the TRUTH is finally getting out.

Take care, Dan

Quotes

Closing these lands or giving this propety to the park is just one more way of taking food off our tables and putting more people/families out of work. How many more unemployed people would they like to see? It seems like they only want what benefits them. Does OUR President, Senators and Representatives even care what this will do to the working class. Will the homeless numbers go up with the unemployment numbers. For what they are offing to "buy" our land you CAN NOT buy a home and property without borrowing more money. And if we end up unemployed because our job just disappeared, who is going to loan us the money to buy another home.
